Teen Programming

Session One: Under the Sea
June 23 – July 11 (3 Weeks)

Pre-School Theatre Camp, Ages 3.5-6

Monday – Friday
9:30- 12:30

Location: Arts Center
Tuition: $750

Fun is the goal. A delightful class to encourage the youngest children to explore through guided play and the use of the imagination. Children learn to value self-expression, work together, and use their imaginations, bodies, and voices while traveling inside favorite stories from under the sea! The first part of the morning will focus on story exploring and creative movement and the second half will be creating crafts and props for our stories.

Full Day Theatre Camp, Ages 7-9

Monday – Friday
9:30-3:30

Location: Arts Center
Tuition: $1,325

All day theatre arts program. In this 3-week camp you will engage in a full theatrical process. Build confidence as you work with your ensemble on different aspects of a production: theatre games, and character development with Creative Drama; singing and choreography with Broadway Kids; and creating props with Technical Theatre. Each day students will have the opportunity to perform for their peers. Each 3-week camp is unique!

Full Day Theatre Camp, Ages 10-13

All day theatre arts program. In this 3-week camp you will engage in a full theatrical process. Build confidence as you work with your ensemble on different aspects of a production: theatre games and character development with Creative Drama; singing and choreography with Broadway Kids; and creating props and sets with Technical Theatre. Each day students will have the opportunity to perform for their peers. Each 3-week camp is unique!

Half Day Theatre Camp, Ages 7-9

Half day theatre arts program. This class is filled with creative drama, movement and storytelling.  Children experience developmentally appropriate theatre games and dramatizations of stories that build skills, spark imagination, nurture creativity, and inspire empathy. The class also focuses on enhancing students’ communication skills and self-confidence.

Half Day Theatre Camp, Ages 10-13

Half day theatre arts program. Enhance theatre skills through carefully crafted exercises, dramatizing stories, acting, and improv. Students focus on character development using improvisation, small scripts, and well-known stories.

Session Two: Through the Forest
July 14 – August 1 (3 Weeks)

The Lion King Jr. Mini, August 4-15 (2 Weeks)

The Lion King Jr. (mini), Ages 5-8

2 Weeks
Monday – Friday 9:30-12:30

Location: Arts Center/Theatre
Tuition: $600

Explore the world of The Lion King Jr! In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn and perform a selection of scenes from the beloved Disney musical, The Lion King Jr. The first week class will meet at the Arts Center and the second at the Theatre. There will be a final presentation Friday August 15 at 11:45.

The Lion King, Jr. Ages, 8- 14

3 Weeks
Monday – Friday 9:30-3:30

Location: Arts Center/Theatre
Tuition: $1,450

Let’s put on a play: The Lion King Jr! In this performance class, students will experience the entire production process, from auditions through performance, as they work on and perform the beloved Disney musical, The Lion King Jr. The first two weeks will be held at the Arts Center and the last week we will move to the theatre. There will be two performances: Friday, 8/22 at 2 pm and Saturday, 8/23 at 10 am.

Teen Acting & Improv

Tuesday/Thursday

This class will focus on fun improvisation, scene work, and introductory directing tactics. Young artists will gain skills in communication, observation, and motivation, along with physical and vocal training. Students will learn to work together to tell important stories, convey meaning and emotion in their scene work exploration, and communicate with others in a playful setting!

Tech Theatre Workshop

Monday/Wednesday

Tuition $180

A hands-on workshop. Students work on specific projects based on their skill-level and age. In this workshop, students participate in set construction, scenic painting, lighting, props, and other technical aspects of our main stage productions. Wear your paint clothes!

Broadway Teens

Tuesday/Thursday

Tuition $180

Sing, dance, and act in songs and scenes from Broadway Musicals including Rock n’ Roll musicals. Develop vocal technique and learn dance moves and combinations with versatility while establishing a character.

Junior Players

Monday-Friday

Tuition: $1,200

Junior Players is CCTC/HJT’s flagship teen program. This 6-week intensive program offers the opportunity not only to train as a young actor, but also to rehearse, perform, and tour a show. The 2025 Junior Players will train in residence at the Cape Cod Theatre Company/Harwich Junior Theatre in July, and tour short stories in rep to young audiences in August. The classroom portion of class is June 30- August 1st Mon-Fri 3-5pm. The performance tour is August 4-8 in the mornings.
