The Cape Cod Theatre Company school matinee performances are a wonderful way to introduce students to live theatre and enhance your classroom curriculum.
We provide study guides for all performances, hold informative and interactive student talk-backs with performers and directors after the show, and offer related in-school learning opportunities that explore the performance topic further. Student tickets are available at a group rate of $12 and teachers and chaperones are free.

This smash off-Broadway hit takes us to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we will meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade us with classic ‘50s hits including “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Stupid Cupid,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.” In act two, the Wonderettes reunite to take the stage and perform at their ten-year reunion. We learn about the highs and lows the girls have experienced in the past decade and are charmed to find that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together. Growing up in the shadows cast by two world wars, Annabelle, age 12, has lived a mostly quiet, steady life in her small Pennsylvania town. Until the day new student Betty Glengarry walks into her class. Betty quickly reveals herself to be cruel and manipulative, and while her bullying seems isolated at first, things quickly escalate, and reclusive World War I veteran Toby becomes a target of her attacks. While others have always seen Toby’s strangeness, Annabelle knows only kindness. She will soon need to find the courage to stand as a lone voice of justice as tensions mount. Brilliantly crafted, Wolf Hollow is a haunting tale of America at a crossroads and a time when one girl’s resilience, strength, and compassion help to illuminate the darkest corners of our history.
