ENCHANTED ADVENTURES, AGES 4 – 6

Step into a world of wonder and imagination in Enchanted Adventures! Through guided play and imaginative exploration, children will discover the joys of self-expression and storytelling. Children learn to value self-expression through rhythm, games to develop coordination, sequencing exercises, pantomime, visual art, storybooks, songs, and dances. This class will have a final demonstration on the last day at 11:30 at the Theatre 105 Division Street, West Harwich.

All day theatre arts program. In this 2-week camp you will engage in a full theatrical process. Build confidence as you work with your ensemble on different aspects of a production: theatre games, and character development with Creative Drama; singing and choreography with Broadway Kids; and creating props with Technical Theatre. Each day students will have the opportunity to perform for their peers. Each 2-week camp is unique! This class will have a final demonstration on the last day at 11:30 at the Theatre 105 Division Street, West Harwich.

This class is filled with creative drama, movement and musical theatre.  Children experience developmentally appropriate theatre games and dramatizations of stories that build skills, spark imagination, nurture creativity, and inspire empathy. The class also focuses on enhancing students’ communication skills and self-confidence. This class will have a final demonstration on the last day at 11:30 at the Theatre 105 Division Street, West Harwich.

Students focus on character development using improvisation, small scripts, and well-known stories. DISNEY’S MOANA JR. Spirit of the Ocean, AGES 4 – 6

In this performance class, students will experience the entire production process, from auditions through performance, as they work on and perform the beloved Disney musical, Moana, Jr. There will be a final presentation Friday, August 14 at 2 pm.

DISNEY’S MOANA JR. Heart of the Sea, AGES 7 – 9

In this performance class, students will experience the entire production process, from auditions through performance, as they work on and perform the beloved Disney musical, Moana, Jr. There will be a final presentation Friday, August 14 at 2 pm.

Let’s put on a play: Moana Jr! In this performance class, students will experience the entire production process, from auditions through performance, as they work on and perform the beloved Disney musical, Moana Jr.  The first two weeks will be held at the Arts Center and the last week we will move to the theatre. There will be two performances: Friday 8/21 @ 12:30 and Saturday 8/22 @ 12:30

DISNEY’S MOANA JR. Tech class, AGES 11 – 16

Weeks 1 & 2 (August 3–14): Class will meet Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Expand your knowledge of the process and skills required to design and build the technical aspects of a play! 

Week 3 (August 17–21): Class will meet Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, PLUS students will have the opportunity to be part of the hands-on tech team for the Education Program’s production of Moana Jr. (Exact rehearsal schedule for the week will be tbd, but will certainly fall within the hours of 9:30am-3:30pm. Students must be available for both Disney’s Moana, Jr. performances on August 21 and August 22 at 12:30 PM.)

TEEN CLASSES

JUNIOR PLAYERS

Ages: 12- 16

Junior Players is CCTC/HJT’s flagship teen program. This 6-week intensive program offers the opportunity not only to train as a young actor, but also to rehearse, perform, and tour a show.  The 2026 Junior Players will train in residence at the Cape Cod Theatre Company/Harwich Junior Theatre in July, and tour to young audiences in August. The classroom portion of class runs June 22 – July 24 Mon-Fri 9:30 – 12:30. The performance tour is July 27 – 31 in the mornings, with a performance on the HJT stage on the evening of 7/27. There is no class Friday 7/3 & 7/17 Instructors: Audrey Pugh & Anthony Teixeira. Show: FROG by Holly Erin McCarthy.

TEEN ACTING

Ages: 12- 16

This class will focus on fun improvisation, scene work, and introductory directing tactics. Young artists will gain skills in communication, observation, and motivation, along with physical and vocal training. Students will learn to work as an ensemble to tell important stories, convey meaning and emotion in their scene work exploration, and communicate with others in a creative, playful setting.

 

TECH WORKSHOP

Ages: 12 -16

A hands-on workshop. Students work on specific projects based on their skill-level and age. In this workshop, students participate in set construction, scenic painting, lighting, props, and other technical aspects of our main stage productions. Wear your paint clothes!
