Mosquito Storytelling Workshop
Live storytelling has become an international obsession. True stories fascinate and draw people from all walks to sold out events like The Moth StorySLAM and the popular Mosquito Story Slam here on Cape Cod. After all, life is stranger than fiction – and many would argue, more interesting. Storytelling is a craft and an art, which can be hard to do in a compelling way. Often the the most difficult part is locating the kernel of the story to focus your journey. During a series of 4 workshops you will fully develop one 5-minute story through a process of brainstorming, writing, audio recording and peer feedback. You’ll have the chance to bring catharsis to your story by telling it in front of a live audience at the Mosquito Story Slam on Oct. 20th as part of the Provincetown Day of the Dead Festival! All live events are recorded for the Mosquito Story Slam podcast, available on iTunes and SoundCloud.
