Dream Tale Theatre
This series advances how the nighttime dream is an unexpected source of daily
guidance and a fountain of personal creative energy. In this 4 part workshop a small troupe of dreamers will troop off into the luminous land of the nighttime dream. Using enactment, movement, arts/sound-making, meditation and imagining.  B.E. Johnson, Expressive Therapist and candidate for Transpersonal Drama Therapy, will invite each student, with the help of peers, to enact two short dreams. One dream from ‘way back’ and one recent meaningful dream will mysteriously integrate a message from ‘Dream Maker’ which directly inspires our current drama.

Dream Incubation: An immersion weekend with Dr. Edward Tick and B.E. Johnson, Expressive Therapist, LMHC

Dr. Edward Tick, author of The Practice of Dream Healing, Bringing Ancient Greek Mysteries into Modern Medicine, is known for his devotion to treating the invisible wounds of war. He highlights the holistic teachings of the Greek god of healing, Asklepios, whose healing practices dominated for 2000 years with temples from Asia Minor to Greece. The Asklepian tradition is the origin of medicine and psychotherapy in the Western world, whose most noted student, Hippocrates, is the founder of scientific medicine. Central to Asklepian healing is dream incubation, whereby the patient undergoes holistic rituals to receive a healing dream. Dr. Tick shares the tradition’s impact upon Jungian psychology, his patients and his own life. After 25 years of leading pilgrimages to holy sites in Greece, Dr. Tick now invites Asklepios to visit America, originating on Cape Cod.
After his lecture, Dr. Tick will perform a staged reading from his original play about the Greek cynic philosopher and truth teller, Diogenes, entitled “The Man in the Jar,” first staged in Athens, Greece.

These events introduce a special immersion weekend (May 10 & 11) led by Dr. Tick, into the Asklepian Healing Tradition, with a Friday overnight incubation.

The educational programs offered at CCTC|HJT are brought to you in part by Seaside LeMans, The Race for the Cape Cod Community.
